What's a Mabuchi?

By Oscar Kovaleski

as published in Car Model Magazine - August 1965

Mabuchi FT-16 and FT-36 motors had been around for awhile when this article was written, in which the new small Mabuchi motor, commonly referred to as the "13D" is introduced.  What is interesting is that the article goes to some length comparing the new 13D to the older FT-16, but there is no mention of the newest and destined to be most successful Mabuchi motor, the FT-16D, except for a vague "teaser" at the very end.
