In what is generally known as the "Pittman Era", and predating by about a year and a half the now ancient Pittman DC-196B, this was the state of the art horsepower slot racers used at the "Dawn of Time"...  Before the Mabuchi "tin can motor" had evolved enough to be considered a serious competitor.
